Monitoring 4.9: More Data from the Chrome UX Report

CrUX (Chrome UX Report) data form the backbone of our monitoring. Until now, the Domain report primarily showcased Core Web Vitals and a few supplementary metrics. However, with version 4.9, we’re introducing an expanded data set to help you swiftly detect problems and make more informed optimization decisions.

More CrUX Data in PageSpeed.ONE Monitoring

We have incorporated additional reports from the excellent Chrome UX Report, which collects data directly from Google Chrome users.

Server to User Delay (RTT)

Curious whether your site is bottlenecked by the server or the network in between? RTT reveals how "far" your visitors are from a network perspective and when it might be worth deploying a CDN.

Device Types (Form Factor)

You'll see which devices—mobile, tablet, or desktop—people are using most frequently. This helps you easily determine who to prioritize when tuning speed. Check out the Form Factor report.

LCP Resource Type

Is your LCP a massive image or just text? With the new resource type report, you'll know right away whether to dive into image optimization or focus more on web fonts and text rendering.

LCP Image Subparts Delays

For images that make up the LCP, you can now precisely see what's causing the delay: the server, downloading, or rendering. This allows you to target the part with the most significant impact.

Additionally, we've added the following to the help section, app, or website:

  • Published a new guide on Cloudflare.
  • Rebranding from PageSpeed.CZ to PageSpeed.ONE.
  • Fixed newsletter unsubscribe issues.
  • Watchdog Notifications: corrected a rounding error.
  • Notification Bar: resolved an issue with closing.
  • Chat: reinstated it in the app and added it to other parts of the website.
