Monitoring 4.8: Automatic Trial and More
During the current update, we've introduced a host of improvements to our monitoring, which we've been preparing over the summer and the preceding months.
The main changes? You can now automatically start a trial of PLUS tests, we’ve sped up and refined the initial phase of web testing, and we continue to teach the PageSpeed.ONE interface in English.

Automatic Trial and Onboarding Emails
Some of you may already know that we've been discretely offering a monthly trial version of tests upon request.
We've been talking about web speed monitoring for a long time, but it's clear that it works much better when users can try the tool themselves.
In addition to trying out the monitoring PLUS for a month for free, you'll receive onboarding and informational emails throughout the lifecycle of speed testing, like this one:
Emails that guide you through the setup and alert you to the approaching end of the trial.
You can start the trial version right from any part of the public site or simply upgrade your free tests to trial PLUS.
It's worth noting that the trial version is only available if no team you’re assigned to has previously had a trial version.
What Else Have We Achieved Since the Last Release?
Since version 4.7, we've adjusted the following:
- Thanks to our own redirection solution (we call it the “redirector”), PLUS tests now have data every day, and we've increased the chances of testing every website.
- We now have an English version of the public pages.
- We've managed the redirection of the application from a subdomain to the main domain.
- Report Pages/CrUX: we've added distribution graphs for each page.
- If you're using HTTP basic auth, we now notify you about it.
- We've fixed the drag-and-drop mechanism in settings.
- We've resolved an issue in emails for Watchdog.
- Fixed test results linking for Pages from modals.
- Improved the display of annual synthetic graphs for pages.
- We've fixed the pesky cookie bar.
Check out the tweaks made in the minor releases, namely 4.7.1 and 4.7.2.
